Delete your BeachCast account
Use this page to request deletion of your BeachCast account and associated data, even if you have already uninstalled the app.
Request account deletion
- Email privacy@beachcast.app from the address you use to sign in to BeachCast.
- Use the subject "BeachCast account deletion request" and include the email address associated with your account. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, or other secrets.
- We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on the request, to protect your account.
- After verification, we will complete the request within 30 days and confirm the outcome by email.
Still have access to the app? You can delete your account immediately from Profile & Settings.
Data deleted with your account
- BeachCast profile data: name, email, avatar, account identifier, preferences, trust score and rank.
- BeachCast authentication and session data associated with your OAuth sign-in.
- Community activity: check-ins, condition reports, safety alerts, votes, followed beaches, requests and corrections.
- Uploaded photos, their related information and stored objects, plus feedback linked to the account.
- Push-notification subscriptions and their related technical identifiers.
Data retained or not affected
- Previously collected diagnostic data may remain in monitoring systems for up to 90 days when it cannot reasonably be linked to the account or must be retained for security and abuse prevention.
- Optional, aggregated analytics may remain for up to 30 days and are not used to identify you after deletion.
- We may retain the minimum data required by law or necessary to defend against or prevent fraud, for the period required by that obligation.
- Deleting a BeachCast account does not delete your Google account or data controlled directly by Google.
